V.E. Day 2004

This year I concentrated on the events in our village Fierville les Mines. My friend Dave arrived from England with his WWII Humber Radio Truck. Festooned with flags the old Humber was to lead the procession to the monument to the fallen from two world wars. The names of those who died fighting in our area were reads out and we all replied "Died for France". We then went to the village hall and drank a toast to our liberty and those who gave their lives for it.
